Request deletion of your ZwiKhaya account.

ZwiKhaya gives users the right to request deletion of their account and associated personal data. This page explains how to submit a request and what happens after your request is received.

How to request account deletion

To delete your ZwiKhaya account, please send an account deletion request using the email address linked to your ZwiKhaya account.

1. Send your request Email us with the subject line: ZwiKhaya Account Deletion Request.
2. Confirm ownership We may ask you to confirm your account details before deletion is processed.
3. Account is deleted Once verified, your account and associated personal data will be deleted or anonymised.

What data may be deleted?

When your request is verified, ZwiKhaya may delete or anonymise account data associated with your profile, including:

  • Your account profile information, such as name, email address, phone number, and user type.
  • Worker or employer profile information you provided in the app.
  • Uploaded profile images or documents where applicable.
  • Application and job-related personal information linked to your account.
  • Messaging data linked to your account, where legally and technically possible.
  • Device notification tokens linked to your account.

Data we may need to retain

Some information may be retained where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, financial, or record-keeping purposes. Where possible, retained data will be limited, protected, and kept only for as long as necessary.

Deleting your account may permanently remove access to your ZwiKhaya profile, job history, applications, chats, saved preferences, and other account-related services.

Processing time

We aim to process verified deletion requests within a reasonable period after confirming account ownership. If additional verification is needed, we will contact you using the email address used to submit the request.
