ZwiKhaya is a South African community economic platform operated by Mtheth Software Solutions (Pty) Ltd.

The platform helps users discover employment opportunities, find workers, promote businesses, list products or services, communicate with other users, manage selected payments and participate in their local economy.

ZwiKhaya provides technology that helps users connect. Unless expressly stated otherwise, ZwiKhaya is not the employer, employee, recruiter, labour broker, buyer, seller, contractor or service provider in transactions arranged between users.

You must be legally capable of entering into an agreement and must provide accurate, current and complete information when creating or maintaining an account.

• You may not create an account using another person’s identity or contact information without permission.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your password, device and account access.
• You must notify ZwiKhaya promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
• You may not create multiple accounts to avoid limits, restrictions or verification requirements.

Users must provide truthful information in personal, worker, employer, business and seller profiles.

ZwiKhaya may request identity documents, business records, qualifications, certificates, references, photographs or other information to support trust and safety checks.

A verification badge confirms only that selected information was checked using the process available at the time. It does not guarantee future conduct, qualifications, performance or suitability.

Employers and opportunity providers are responsible for ensuring that job posts are lawful, accurate and not misleading.

• Job descriptions, payment terms, working hours and locations should be disclosed clearly.
• Users may not post discriminatory, exploitative, fraudulent, illegal or unsafe work opportunities.
• Applicants are responsible for the accuracy of their skills, qualifications, experience and availability.
• Employers remain responsible for applicable labour, tax, health and safety, compensation and employment obligations.

Business owners and sellers are responsible for the legality, quality, safety, pricing, availability and accurate description of the products or services they list.

• Listings may not contain counterfeit, stolen, prohibited or dangerous goods.
• Sellers must hold any licences, registrations or approvals required for their activities.
• Buyers should assess listings carefully and use safe payment and collection practices.
• Reviews must reflect genuine experiences and may not be used for harassment or manipulation.

ZwiKhaya may offer paid verification services, advertising, featured listings, boosters, wallet services or other premium functionality.

Prices and applicable conditions will be shown before a purchase is completed. Some payment services may be processed by third-party providers, whose terms and processing times may also apply.

ZwiKhaya enables direct communication between users. You must communicate respectfully and use messaging only for legitimate platform-related purposes.

• Do not threaten, bully, harass or unlawfully discriminate against another person.
• Do not send scams, spam, malicious links or fraudulent payment requests.
• Do not request passwords, PINs, OTPs or unnecessary identity documents.
• Do not share unlawful, abusive, hateful, violent or exploitative material.

Location features help show nearby people, businesses, offers and opportunities. Results may be approximate and depend on device permissions, network quality and information supplied by users.

You should not rely on ZwiKhaya location information for emergency, navigation, safety-critical or legal purposes.

You may not use ZwiKhaya to commit fraud, theft, impersonation or identity abuse; promote illegal services or prohibited goods; interfere with platform security; scrape or resell platform data without permission; upload malware; or manipulate reviews, ratings, referrals or usage limits.

You retain ownership of content that you submit, including profile information, photographs, job posts, business listings, offers, reviews and messages.

You give ZwiKhaya permission to host, store, process, reproduce, resize and display that content only as reasonably required to operate, secure, improve and promote the platform.

ZwiKhaya may investigate reports and remove content, restrict functionality, suspend accounts, cancel listings or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent fraud, enforce these terms or comply with legal requirements.

Users should take reasonable precautions before meeting, hiring, working for, paying or trading with another user.

• Confirm identities and important transaction details.
• Meet in safe locations where appropriate.
• Avoid sending money before assessing legitimacy.
• Never share passwords, OTPs, PINs or complete banking credentials.

ZwiKhaya aims to provide a reliable platform but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, permanent storage, perfect location accuracy or compatibility with every device.

User-supplied listings, messages, profiles and ratings may not always be accurate, complete or current.

To the extent permitted by law, ZwiKhaya is not responsible for losses caused by user conduct, unsuccessful transactions, employment disputes, inaccurate listings, third-party services, unauthorised account access or events outside its reasonable control.

ZwiKhaya may update these terms as the platform, services or legal requirements change. Material updates may be communicated through the application, website, email or another reasonable method.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, subject to applicable consumer rights.
